Beauty in a barn at the Keythorpe Manor Country Chic Wedding Fayre

Posted on April 21st 2015

A little post today about my weekend fun at Keythorpe Manor. this was my first wedding fayre of the year and what a beautiful one to start with. I had attended a Save the Date wedding fayre before, for the Pop Up Wedding Village at Calke Abbey (In conjunction with Honesuckle and Castle) and was so impressed it was brilliant and extremely well attended even through the rain!

So when I found out about the Country Chic Wedding fayre at Keythorpe Manor, a new wedding venue, I signed straight up. Setting up the night before was great and let me have a sneaky look around too. The venue itself boasts a huge (and I mean huge) and stunning marquee with gorgeous bar and a beautiful oak barn where the civil ceremony can take place. For loads more information and photo's take a look at this blog post from the lovely Save the date girls.

I always promise myself that I will be better organised (I really do try!) but true to the norm the week running up to the fayre was crazy. Continually trying to find my brand new and very lost sequined table cloths, finding myself still painting cakes and making cupcakes, and collecting forget-me-nots out of my garden late into the night before!

That said once there and set up in a great position, meeting all the lovely brides and grooms to be was lovely. Loads of lovely comments about a couple of my new examples too. The tasters I took as well disappeared within the very first hour. That must be a record. So overall a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Every single supplier who was there had some just beautiful examples of their talents from gorgeous stationary, amazing photographs (Check out Darren Cresswell Photography), stunning gowns and Vintage hire in every corner (The Little Rustic Wedding Company was our favourite!) A really great day filled with prettiness and great company and well I think this is my favourite photo….

The courtyard outside the barn looking beautiful - loving the hanging vintage style lampshades!

Thanks it from me today, I will be back with loads more soon including this years Pop Up Wedding Village!

Christmas Wishes xxx

It's been a busy old year here at The Sugared Rose HQ with some ups and plenty of downs. But I wanted to end the year with some positive loveliness and who doesn't love a touch of Christmas? So I thought I share a few photos from a very christmassey shoot we took part in for Elens Wedding Photography and Thomasina Brides.

2017 so far in pictures

Posted on August 24th 2017

I had a little look around the site today and was very ashamed to see that I had not completed a blog post since April! All these promises of regular posts and updates and I have yet again failed and let life get in the way (oops!). So I thought as I am still in the midst of a very hectic season and spending a hour or so on every wedding to post is not on the cards right now (unfortunately), I would just post a quick photo filled run down of 2017 so far.
