A Birdcage for a Beautiful Blakelands Wedding - Aimee & Stuart 27.06.2015

Posted on July 12th 2015

I actually met Aimee and her mother first at a wedding fair last year. We had a good old natter and at times a bit of a laugh. Aimee had loved a birdcage cake I had on display and other than increasing it in size and changing the colour to suit their special day it was exactly what she was after.

So together we came up with the required size, style and colours and their cake was three flavors including lemon, chocolate and vanilla with some gluten and nut free chocolate and vanilla mini cakes to match.

From the moment I arrived at the venue (and after some very heart attack inducing stress setting the cake up - I will love the guys at Blakelands forevere for calming me down and helping with that) it was clear this wedding was very hands on for not only the couple but their friends and family too.

There were handmade touches everywhere and one of the guests and very close friends of the couple had made cupcakes too for their sweet cart which smelled amazing and looked so pretty.

Anyway here is the important bit the photo's...

A really short and sweet post today. Look out for more blog posts soon including more coverage of a very special wedding.

Take care,

Sarah x

Christmas Wishes xxx

It's been a busy old year here at The Sugared Rose HQ with some ups and plenty of downs. But I wanted to end the year with some positive loveliness and who doesn't love a touch of Christmas? So I thought I share a few photos from a very christmassey shoot we took part in for Elens Wedding Photography and Thomasina Brides.

2017 so far in pictures

Posted on August 24th 2017

I had a little look around the site today and was very ashamed to see that I had not completed a blog post since April! All these promises of regular posts and updates and I have yet again failed and let life get in the way (oops!). So I thought as I am still in the midst of a very hectic season and spending a hour or so on every wedding to post is not on the cards right now (unfortunately), I would just post a quick photo filled run down of 2017 so far.
