Blossoms and birds for the intimate wedding of Caroline & Darren 28.05.15
Posted on June 10th 2015
Caroline and I met in a bit of a wirlwind at the Vintage Chic Wedding Fair at the Pump Rooms in Royal Leamington Spar. It was close to the end of the day and there was a sudden rush of visitors.
We only managed to snatch a quick natter but luckily Caroline got straight back in contact we carried on just where we had left off as our talk had stayed with me. Why? Their wedding sounded like such a perfect little and intimate affair, I was excited for the chance to make something that was almost entirely just with the bride and groom in mind and something where everyone would get a brilliant portion.
The cake was to just feed a maximum of 12 persons and was to be as chocolatey as I could make it (YUM!) It also needed to incorporate all of my favorite things - vintage colours, roses, blossoms and birds. So it was safe to say I was in my element.
Here are a couple of images of design work completed for Caroline and Darren and their very chocolately taster cakes.
Their venue was the very stunning Hampton Manor. I got very carried away taking photo's as it was so beautiful and I just loved all the nods to vintage including a beautiful dresser with some pretty lovely Terrainiums and vinatge books. It just set off the whole feel thar Caroline wanted.
Some final photo's of the cake.
Ok so that's it for today. A little short and sweet blog for a very small and intimate wedding.
