Real Wedding - The new Mr & Mrs Nightingale

Posted on September 18th 2014

Today's real wedding is such a beauty!

Vicky and Chris first contacted me back in 2013 but then as it always does, time flew by and from well over a year to the wedding all of a sudden it was a couple of months away. Vicky then contacted me to say their colour scheme had changed quite a bit and so had their ideas for the sugar decorations for their cake design.

Did I mind? Of course not! It meant I actually got to make even more of what I love - sugar roses and even better in my favourite colour pallet! (A few pics from Instagram regarding all things Vicky and Chris)

When I emailed them a quick photo of their example flowers a couple of weeks before their big day it was lovely to get such lovely feedback:
'Sarah they are absolutely fantastic! Better than I could of ever imagined' and made the ‘bake and make’ even more enjoyable.

Norwood Park the venue was just stunning and the little touches that Vicky and Chris had included in their day were just lovely. Below is a close-up picture of their three tier cake. The layers were completely covered in white chocolate gancache and as a special treat were in Thorntons white choclate as that is the couples favorite chocolate brand. They also borrowed our cake stand that worked really well with both the cake and the Norwood Park backdrop.

So finally a HUGE congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Nightingale and thank you for putting your faith in The Sugared Rose!

Christmas Wishes xxx

Posted on December 25th 2018

It's been a busy old year here at The Sugared Rose HQ with some ups and plenty of downs. But I wanted to end the year with some positive loveliness and who doesn't love a touch of Christmas? So I thought I share a few photos from a very christmassey shoot we took part in for Elens Wedding Photography and Thomasina Brides.

2017 so far in pictures

Posted on August 24th 2017

I had a little look around the site today and was very ashamed to see that I had not completed a blog post since April! All these promises of regular posts and updates and I have yet again failed and let life get in the way (oops!). So I thought as I am still in the midst of a very hectic season and spending a hour or so on every wedding to post is not on the cards right now (unfortunately), I would just post a quick photo filled run down of 2017 so far.
